Individual 5G connectivity has long been a reality - and enables companies, universities and institutions to break new ground in digitalization.
Since the end of 2024, the Triopt Group and Firecell have been working in a strategic partnership to establish high-performance private 5G networks in Germany. The goal: flexible, secure and scalable solutions that can be tailored precisely to the requirements of modern industries and research environments.
A common path to 5G networking
Over the past twelve months, several projects have been realized – from stationary 5G campus networks at universities to mobile private 5G networks for live demonstrations, test environments or events.
We combine Firecell’s powerful 5G technology with our integration expertise and many years of experience in the telecommunications sector.
A key example: Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences now operates two fully integrated solutions – a permanently installed 5G campus network for laboratories and research and a compact, transportable network that can be used flexibly.
Concrete applications in everyday life.
Private 5G networks not only offer high bandwidth and low latency – they also open up completely new scenarios for data processing, communication and automation. The realized use cases include:
- Live streaming of video data via the 5G network
- Integration of IoT sensors with real-time dashboards
- Test setups with Named Data Networking (NDN)
- Full integration into existing IT structures including remote access, monitoring and backup
The combination of flexible hardware, intelligent software and seamless system integration creates future-proof 5G campus solutions that can be expanded at any time – even across campus boundaries.
Experience 5G: Hannover Messe 2025
Under the motto “5G You Can Touch”, we presented together with Firecell at Hannover Messe 2025 how tangible and practical modern private 5G networks already are today.
The highlights of our stand included:
- The #Triopt5GBuzz – a converted VW Buzz with a built-in 5G system
- Live demonstrations for remote control of a rover
- Our own software solutions for easy warehouse management
- Zebra devices prepared for industrial use in 5G campus networks
- A coffee station, selfie competitions and lots of technical discussions – right in the active 5G field
